Our History
Founded in 2020, 7 GENERATIONS INDIGENOUS CULTURAL FRIENDSHIP CENTRE (7GICFC) was created based on the need for Indigenous-led services and navigation supports for Urban Indigenous (FNMI) peoples living in the SW Ontario Region.
We are a very new Friendship Centre and not funded for programs or services (yet). But we can offer navigational & educational information.
Our Mission
7 GENERATIONS INDIGENOUS CULTURAL FRIENDSHIP CENTRE, is 'Status Blind' and services all Indigenous (FNMI) peoples. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can learn, grow, and connect with others.
Our Logo
Our logo is designed as loomed beadwork that is woven together - that helps to make it 'strong & resilient'. The seven colours represent: Yellow (East), White (North), Orange (Truth & Reconciliation), Red (South), Blue (Water of Life), Green (Mother Earth), Black (West).
